Geostatistical Analysis of Soil and Ground Water Contaminants to Determine the Treatment and Destination of Excavated Soil.
During a series of consultancies software was developed to assist in 3D modelling of ground contamination. The aim of such models is to estimate with a minimum amount of ground samples the amount and type of soil contamination and which proportion of soil will have to be excavated and subjected to which kind of decontamination a/o storing procedure. Since sample analysis and certain decontamination procedures can be very expensive, accurate models are important to perform state of the art cost analysis.
The software is optimized for a 3D geo-statistical analysis of highly skewed environmental data (e.g. heavy metal concentrations). It also supports 3D operations on standard ArcView, IDRISI32 and Surfer raster and vector layers.
Because of confidentiality reasons no report is made available for this project.
